The band’s work schedule slowly began to expand to include places like Blacktown RSL in western Sydney and the Coogee Oceanic in the city’s eastern suburbs. The Manly Vale Hotel on Sydney’s northern beaches was a favourite gig until Stevens got into a scuffle with a few patrons and at the end of the night the beaten locals wanted to tear the band apart.
